TO ANALYSE THE GIVEN SALT BY USING THE SPOT TEST ANALYSIS RADICALS: Cu+2,Pb+2, Fe+2, 2n+2, Ni+2

APPARATUS REQUIRED

Burner

wath glass

Test tube and holders

Glass tube

THEORY:

Spot test is a chemical test a simple andefficient technique where analytic assays are executed in only one or few drop of chemical solution Preferably in greed piece of filter of filter paper without soptiisticated instrumentation. It is conducted on spot to yield immediate using any ducted on a test results. It may be performed either on a spot plate, micro crucible or on a filterpaper (drop reat paper).

Spot test for some cation (basic radicals)

 Name of Test  Experiment Observation
Test for cu++
with ammonia
(NH4OH)
Reagent: Liquor
ammonia

A little amount of cupric II salt solution
was taken in a test tube and NH4OH was added
Adeep blue solution was observed (Nickel salt may be insterfere
2. Test for pb++Reagent: dil Hcl And KI A little of test tube solution was taken in a test tube Dil. HCL was added  pb++ cl- pbcl2
white ppt was obtain.
which dissolved on
heating but reappeared as needle
shoped crystalsen
cooling.

3.Test for Fe++
potassium
ferocynide.
[K4Fe(CN)6]
Placed a little amount of test tube solution in test fube and added
drops of potassium ferrocyanide
A blue spot of terric
ferrocyanide Indicate
to the presence of Fe
was confirmed.
4. Test for 2n+2
with H₂ser
(NH4)2S
1-2 drops of test soln.
was taken in test tube
dil.acetic acid to acid
acidify
then H₂s water was
added.
white ppt. was
observed.
5. Test
Test for Ni++
Dimethyl glyoxime (C4H3O2N2)51%
DMG solution in
ethanol.
A drop of test soln.
and (DMG) reagend
was taken in test
tube then added
drops of dilute
ammonia soln.
A red spot precipi-
tate was formed.

RESULT:

Hence, Cout2, 2n +2, Fe+2, Ni +2, Pb+2) are
Some of the basic radicale that we have
analysed using spot test analysis radicals.

CONCLUSION:

We can analyse the given salt by using
applysis redcals.cu++, zn++, Fe++, pb++).
